The Mississauga Furniture Bank is fortunate to have the services of a dedicated group of volunteers who provide leadership and strategic direction to the organization.

Laura Reeves - Chair
CONTROLLER - AFFINITY SYSTEMS LTD.
Laura Reeves is a Certified Management Accountant and Graduate of York University. She is a business executive with 25 years of progressive career experience. Laura's background includes a strong community involvement as a long time volunteer within the Mississauga community and previously as president of the Toronto Junior Board of Trade.
Emil Cocirla - Vice-Chair
SERVICE MANAGER - CAN-AM INSTRUMENTS LTD.
Emil is a graduate of University of Craiova with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He currently works as the Service Manager for Can-Am Instruments, a distributor of instrumentation and equipment for the laboratory, process and environmental markets. He also manages Webstar Solutions, a registered company founded in 1996 and specialized in website design and hosting, e-commerce, and internet consulting.
Nelly Nosella - Director
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT - IBT BUSSING
Nelly currently works part-time as the Administrative Assistant for a not-for-profit organization in Mississauga. She has a Bachelors of Arts degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration and previously worked in the financial and insurance industries as Programmer Analyst. She has held various positions, including secretary and co-chair, on a variety of volunteer committees.
Larry Minarsky - Director
Larry Minarsky graduated from York University in 1980 with a Bachelor in Business Administration. He articled at Arthur Andersen and obtained his Chartered Accountancy designation in 1982. Currently along with his support team he manages the day to day financial aspects of a rapidly growing software development company that services many Fortune 500 Companies.
David Sanders - Treasurer
David is a Certified Management Accountant (1996) and a graduate of The University of Western Ontario and McGill University. He is business leader with over 15 years of professional experience in various industries such as technology, transportation and logistics and mostly recently in the manufacturing sector. David has a part-time consulting business supporting small business with business planning, tax planning, financial statement preparation, accounting and bookkeeping. David has recently found an interest in volunteering and getting involved with the community.
Lois Westover - Secretary
Lois has a varied background in business, which includes owning and operating several retail businesses, working in the advertising industry and the banking industry. Lois currently works full-time as Administrative Assistant at Affinity Systems, a custom software developer that supports the work of MFB in many ways, including permitting charitable work during business hours. She has served on school council and helped with school fundraising activities for many years. She is committed to giving back to the community in which she has lived for 18 years. Lois studied business administration at York University.
Bill Lawless - Director
Bill graduated from University of Toronto Sciences in 1961. Employed immediately by Continental Can/Crown Cork & Seal Canada, Research & Technical Services, holding many positions, most significantly Manager Metal Container Specifications, and Director of Research & Technical Services Canada, retiring in 2004. On the volunteer side, Bill has been an active member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society (President 9 years) and the Knights of Columbus, holding several executive positions in both organizations. Since retirement, being mechanically inclined, and a self taught carpenter/handyman, Bill has assumed building and property maintenance managerial responsibilities for St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Mississauga, where he also serves on the Finance Committee. Most recently he has been doing and enjoying the repair work required to donated furniture at Mississauga Furniture Bank.
